꼬끼오(Cock-A-Doodle-Doo)

I found this on You Tube and Loved it! The You Tube channel is JDtheKim. I think the animations looks so cool. In fact,it got me thinking of my "Top 10 animated series" that I love but I'm to old to be watching?
(note: If you click on the names below it will take to the page)

10.)Tiny Toons
I always love Plucky duck! He was just like Daffy duck but smaller!

9.) Daria
I really liked the characters on this show and I loved the theme song.

8.)Futurama
That show was created by Matt Groening the same guy that created the The Simpson's who would love that!

7.)Fanboy and Chum Chum
Just the name along makes me smile..say it Fanboy and Chum Chum. The fact, that they are school aged superhero is too cute. Me and my girls love to watch this! ( I think I enjoy it more)

6.)Boondocks
I know that there are those that are going to be mad about this one. But I really don't care for the show, I think it a little to vulgar but, I absolutely love the animation. It's so Urban and I like that. The boys are nothing but trouble but I dig the big hair ( if you haven't notice...in my art!) The little girl on the show reminds me so much of my girls. She wears her hair in these huge ponytails on each side of her head so cute!

5.)Animaniacs
Love the theme song!

4.)Growing up Creepie
I love this show. It's all about a girl that was raised by bugs! So Creepie! You can view the show on the Discovery Kids channel and I swear I learn something new about bugs every time I watch it.

3.)Codename Kid's Next Door
The gadget alone is what got me hooked on this show. I like that all the name of the kids are numbers!

2.)The Chipmunks ( the animated series )
The cartoon was way better then the Movies!

1.)The Simpson's
The Greatest Show on Earth! Yeah, I have been a fan since the Tracy Ulman Show! Yes that long !!!!

So, Share with me some of your favorite Cartoons!!!

Anniversary Dinner Keepsake

Yes, this is the to go box from the restaurant the other night. I have a habit of drawing on everything including to go boxes.  I don't know when I picked up this habit but I kinda like it. Sometimes I doddle a face on the receipt that says "Thank You" or a "Dinner was great" cartoon. Hopefully, that makes them smile or maybe they keep it as a reminder of that crazy family they had to serve that night. Needless to say everyone at work always know what I brought for lunch, it's the box with the artwork on it! I encourage you guys to try it out. It's just something fun to do !

Dinner and a Movie

Today is my 4yr wedding anniversary. I still cant believe that it's been 4 yrs. What do you want to do for our anniversary? Has been the topic of conversation for the last few weeks. Since we have a few trips planned for the rest of the year we decided to do something simple. We don't get alot of time together (you know how it is with kids)So, we agreed to have a nice quiet dinner and a movie. We actually celebrated our anniversary on Friday night. It was so nice we got dressed up and went to dinner first. We talked, laughed and reminisced. We talked about the day we met,and how much our relationship has grown since then. We talked about mistakes we made and promised to never to make those same mistakes again. It was a great dinner, my brother-in-law even had cards and balloons delivered to  our table as we ate! He's so sweet!

And then we went to see this Movie:

Which is the Greatest Movie. We went Opening Night so it was packed. It's one of those movies that keep you on edge of your seats the whole time. The plot was crazy and at the end of the movie you're left wanting more!! You guys have got to go and see this movie! Overall, I've had a great anniversary weekend. Some quiet time with the hubby, great food, and cool movie!

In art news, I'm working on prints for some of my original painting. Hopefully, they will be available to purchase in the next couple of weeks. My goal is to open my own Etsy Store soon, so if anyone has any tips for a new shop owners I am open to any advice. Talk to you guys soon!

Fearful?

Fearful?? As a artist, I think there is always a little fear when put your art out there. Afraid that it may not be good
enough, that's it's not as professional as so and so's or that voice in the back of your head telling you that you're not a REAL artist. What do you do when that fear tries it's best to consume you? I start to tell myself that I am GOOD ENOUGH  (maybe not the best) But Good! And no, my work doesn't look like so and so's I'm glad and happy that it looks like Trena's!  (that's what really matters) I AM A ARTIST! In every since of that word. There are days when fear gets the best of  me but I guess that is something that I will have to continue to overcome in my journey.

This is a painting that I did on a recycled canvas. Which means that there was another painting on the canvas before I painted this one. See, I'm going green!! lol! I gresso the pattern paper on the canvas and just drew on top of it. This was the first time that I tried this technique and I like the way it turned out. Maybe I'll try it again?

Confidence ( Finally Completed)

My Confidence painting is FINALLY DONE! I love her! I think that she may be the Logo for my blog. She says Artistically Urban doesn't she? I'm lovin' the bright colors. And that attitude, She is so sassy! I took the picture of the painting outside without using the flash. I heard that natural light was always best for photographing painting. I can honestly say that it came out great. The colors look perfect. What do you guys think?

What to do? What to do?

After completing Kelly's ecourse, I'm stuck wondering what to do? There are so many things I have learned by taking the course, I do know where to begin! As you can see I've updated the look of the blog. I'm still working on it so it may look totally different tomorrow? I'm also taking this long 4th of July weekend to caught up some things like spending time with the family ( I feel like I have been neglecting them since starting the ecourse) I can't wait for my hubby to fire up the grill. I have been craving a BBQ hot dog for about a week now. I am also going to make cupcakes with the girls. They are always my little helpers in the kitchen so, I know that they would love to help me decorate cupcakes! I also wanted to catch up on my painting. I have already started on some new pieces that I cant wait to share with you guys! Well until then have a great weekend!
