More Book Cover Art

So, this is another painting on a vintage book cover. The pink hair was my daughter idea. She looks different from the other charaters I usually draw but, I like her she's different! It's funny how you can change something simply like the shape of the eyes in this painting and make a person look totally different huh? Any who, my hopes are to make a few of theses kind of painting and bind them together and make some kind of book or journal out of them. ( I wonder how that will go?) I'll keep you guys posted K!

Rock Star

This is my rockstar. I like her alot! I guess what I really like about her is the big hair and the attitude. I mean, that's what a rockstar is right? Hair, Attitude, and sometimes a little bit of music. Who hasn't taken the other end of a brush, spoon, or anything that reminded you of a microphone, and acted like you were singing like one of your favorite Rock Star? But, before you did that you had to make sure that the hair, clothes, and the attitude was there right! LOL...

So, I thought what else could I do instead? Spend the day watching TV? Maybe do some shopping? or Spend the whole day painting? And you know what, that's exactly what I did, Painted a picture about what I didn't feel like doing! :)

" These are a few of my Favorite things"

To quote the famous song- "Raindrops and roses and whiskers on kittens, Bright copper kettle, and warm woolen mitten, Brown paper packages tied up with string these are a few of my favorite things...I love that song.(Are you singing it yet? lol..) Pictured above are a few of my favorite things! Assorted sizes of different canvases. For some reason I like using the smaller one. 12x12's, 10x10's and 8x8's. Watercolor Pencils are a staple for me I usually use them for skin tone and shading. Gesso is usually used as a primer and the Gel Medium is used when I do collages. Of course there's my fluid acrylics theses are some of my favorite colors! My sharpies are usually used for details and to outline and Last by not least Distress Ink! There is so many things that you can do with this product! Sometimes I use them for skin tone and shading. I also like to use them around the edge of my canvas as a border it makes the painting look antique! So what are some of your favorite things?

Art on Vintage Book Covers

Hey guys! I am very excited about this piece! I have been working on a couple in this series. It's made on vintage book covers. Hopefully, in the future I will get a chance to show you how I did this by video or pictorial. I used acrylic paint along with watercolor pencils. I also use normal household items to give the background some added depth. Hope you guys like it!
